How about a section where coaches, especially at grass roots level can post questions and ask for advice on coaching at the lower levels of the game, I'm talking about qualified coaches who work in other jobs during the week and coach part time evenings and weekends. I feel that far too many websites are 'out of touch' with these coaches especially in the UK, and it is these part time coaches who are the roots of the game. Questions could be on topics like "how do I get my players to remember take a quick look around and find some space before asking for a pass" or "what can improve a players ability to overcome setbacks in a match"... input gentlemen please
This is an excellent suggestion and one I have been thinking about for some time. I have in our plans to create an application that allows members to submit questions and get answers from the community but, this will take time and development. However, we do have the capability to accomplish this today in a basic forum.
Some things to consider are:
1) having a few people to moderate, drive awareness and utilization of the forum.
2) having subject matter experts that can really provide good sound feedback with substance and resources to back up recommendations
3) immediacy of feedback - laying some ground rules for the forum and setting expectations
What other thoughts and considerations might be out there? Thank you for the suggestion Paul. I would love to discuss further, find a champion for such an initiative and get the resources behind this to make it successful.
