- My name is Micah P Rau I am a GK and I have been playing this position since 1978. I love the game of futbol (soccer). I am a "die hard" GK, this is my PASSION besides the Lord God.
You know after all these years I am still learning the GK position and you can never learn enough there is always more and this is what makes futbol so awesome.
A full-time Evangelist, tradesman specializing in residential & commercial building restoration, soccer buff, ecommerce specialist. - As a goalkeeper I prefer starting from the center field 5-2-3. I never was good at remembering names but there are several goalkeepers I enjoy. There is one in particular that encouraged me to learn to play both in feild and out field. There are a few coaches I enjoy...but fo the most part all players/coaches are entertaining.

Training Your Eyes.
You know this is a very neccessary additive to a GK. Whenever I get a chance I watch a live game, not one on TV, after all I can come in real close when I'm there physically.
In a live game I watch that ball thoroughly not forgetting to watch the players on the field and how they position themselves, but my focus is mainly on the ball. I watch the shots which include the angles of the shot, the eyes of the shooter, which way he/she is leaning, is he/she leaning…

The answer to a constant question: How does a GK practice alone?
You know I am asked a lot about how in the world I, a GK, practice alone so I want to answer that question.
First of all lets get serious...if you are not that serious about the sport how in the world do you figure you can play the sport. My thought to you is to be a part of a sport, or other career, that you are serious about because if there is any lack of interest you will not give 110%. My name is Jude chukwuebuka ike.I was born on the 28th December, 1984 and am 23 years old.By the grace of God am a spirit filled Christian/soccer player and presently am working as a minister/volunteer missionary with the scripture union in the Gambia and the Mountain of fire and miracles ministries. In the light of Gods love and mercy, I had an encounter with God in the month of April 4th 1999, and by his mercy have have been laboring in his vineyard ever since until and for his kingdom sake have attended an intensive bible training classes at Word of faith Bible institute in Senegal where I also played soccer at the division one teams. As a career person, I have played soccer at some good professional levels, in Nigeria being my country, I played at the professional division one and two teams respectively and in Senegal where I also worked as a missionary and a minister, I played at three division one teams and in Canada, I played for the Brampton hit men professional soccer team, a division one team also and I was introduced to the Gambia to work with the Scripture union in the Gambia and I pitched my tent with the Stevebiko football club.I want to also add that in last years scripture union camp for school leavers and secondary school children, i served as the national sport manager.
Having come into contact with your ministry to Christian sports men and women who are having the grace and talent to serve God with their talents, treasures and time, while excelling in their callings physically and being acquainted that your ministry will be of great help to me, linking me with soccer teams and Christian soccer agents that will advance me in my career.
I strongly believe that your ministry to Christian sports men and women will definitely give me the needed breakthrough I have always prayed and labored for and while still being active as a professional soccer player I will also avail and involve myself to youur ministry in spirit led activities that your organization will offer the opportunity me the privelege to do, because I am confident in God that my testimony when shared will transform the life’s of many people.

I might have a few pointers for you in reference to goalkeeping...I have three professional goalkeepers in my family, my eyes have seen hours and hours of goalkeeper training sessions, most of them professional soccer level...and I have had experienced many pleasurable moments as a player mysefl scoring goals on goalkeepers as well :)
I have done research on goalkeeper motion and training development, and as I see it, today's goalkeeper training lacks innovation and creativity.
It is one of the positions in soccer where we have seen very little major development in the area of player athletic performance.
