Technical abilities: Very strong in the air for his height (1.78 meters), Damion is also endowed with superb tactical awareness, speed, and anticipation skills. These are the distinguishing attributes of an all-round centre back and he is outstanding in all of these aspects of the game. Damion reserves strength and pace, times his tackles expertly and is quick to snuff out danger when the ball is played through the middle. He possesses leadership skills which are increasingly to the fore in an inexperienced NPA back line. He’s a team player with respect to other players. Damion is a pivotal figure for his country as well as his club. First capped in 1998, he played a key role as Nigerian U-17 qualified for their Junior U-17 World Cup series.
Damion also poses a threat to opposition defenses. His barnstorming runs get the crowd on the edge of their seats and, although he is not a regular on the score sheet, but some times breaks his High bury duck by scoring decisive vital goals for his club.
