About Me:
The continuing research for new talents has brought the Italian Scuola Calcio Project to widen its own circuit of the Soccer School affiliations, giving the possibility to many organizations to find an interlocutor in a position to help grow and to supply the technical-organizational “know-how”. Today the Scuola Calcio Project has many soccer school affiliates in and around the world and is working closely with many different Italian professional soccer clubs.

Single Player Issue

The following article was written by Antonio Saviano and featured in the Scuola Calcio Magazine. I have been giving some thought about the “single player” issue on a soccer team, which leads me to wonder how many coaches find themselves in the same situation, having one good player on the team?. I often notice, while I conduct a coaching symposium and when speaking with coaches, that I hear about how most teams have only one good player, or t… Continue

Different Ways Young Children Develop

Have you ever wondered how young children develop and grow? The following is a four step process that youth players and children go through while they are growing and developing: 1. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

Young children move out of reflex with no intention or control. During the first years in soccer, movements are very unbalanced and uncoordinated. As they continue to practice, they start t

Talk to The Parents

During a coaching seminar I asked the coaches if they talk to the parents. Some of the coaches responded this way: “I never talk to the parents about the game because they don’t coach and don’t understand the game of soccer”. Is it true that most parents cannot coach, do not understand the game of soccer and have little comprehension about techniques and tactics? Is it not also true that in this country 95% of coaches are parents who volunteer?

Your article is very nice, but i miss a very important thing: Why not teach the players how to deal with the referee, because he is the most important person for a soccer game - without him - the game are lost!

I am sure about, that when a coach is teaching the players the rules, the way the ref´s are learning them, and what kind of ref´s there are - the game would many times be much more easy for all part´s!
